USA, OH: Lineage Brewing to close its Clintonville brewpub
Lineage Brewing announced on social media that after seven years in business it will be closing its Clintonville brewpub. Lineage's last day of operation will be Sunday, April 24, the Columbus Alive reported on April 13.
"Words cannot describe the outpouring of love and generosity this community has shown our business and our employees, and we thank you," Lineage wrote on Instagram. "We made this difficult decision in order to focus on our families and other future endeavors."
The building, located at 2971 N. High St., won't remain empty long, however, with Combustion Brewery & Taproom announcing today that it would expand operations and take over the Clintonville spot, targeting a summer opening.
“We are moving into the space currently occupied by Lineage Brewing as they move on to pursue other opportunities," Combustion co-owner Sarah Jackson said in a press release. "We wish them well and are thrilled to bring our beer and cider to the Clintonville community this summer."
This will be the second Columbus location for Combustion, which is gearing up to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its original taproom in Pickerington on Saturday, April 16.
