USA, WI: A new brewhouse and brewing experience coming to Old World Wisconsin in Eagle
A new brewhouse and brewing experience coming to Old World Wisconsin in Eagle will help visitors tap into Wisconsin's hoppy heritage, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported on April 27.
The Brewhouse will open June 18 with beer, brats and live German music to celebrate. Free koozies will be handed out while supplies last.
The Brewhouse grand opening will celebrate Wisconsin beer history from corner bars to the big label and microbrews that have been made in this state.
Brewers will make authentic historic recipes out of kettles, and guests over 21 can enjoy samples of beer produced in the brewhouse.
Koozies will be handed out at 11 a.m. June 18, with the keg tapping at 11:20 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beer and brats will be for sale while live German music plays.
Guests will also get a sneak peek at other things to come with the brewing experience at Old World Wisconsin.
The brewhouse is the first phase in a years-long plan to have a full brewing experience, which will eventually include a biergarden and Wittnebel's Tavern, an authentic 1930s tavern relocated from its original home in Old Ashippun.
A garden also will come to the brewing experience to show how crops are planted, grown and harvested to make the perfect pint.
The brewhouse is accessible with general admission. Old World Wisconsin, a 600-acre historical center with 60 restored structures, opens for the spring season April 30.
