USA, NY: The Hyde Park Brewing Company closing after more than 25 years in business
The Hyde Park Brewing Company, a town mainstay for more than 25 years, is closing, according to a company Facebook post, the Daily Freeman reported on June 14.
“It is with sincere gratitude and appreciation for our patrons and business associates to announce that after 27 years in business at the Hyde Park Brewing Company, we have come down to our final days,” the post said.
BrewPub will be closing its doors on at the 4076 Albany Post Road location on Saturday, June 18.
“Our time in the Hyde Park community has been a wonderful journey,” the post said. “We have always been proud to provide friendly service and hospitality to our customers throughout the years.”
“When the doors first opened in 1996 we never imagined what it would grow into today!,” the post read. “The people we have met, the families we have served and the staff that have become family, together with our community support has kept us going.”
The Facebook posting said that business has suffered in the last two years.
“What was also unimaginable was the last two years, the business environment is a very different one and for that, sadly, it was unsustainable,” the posting said.
The company operated the Skytop Steakhouse and Brewing Company in the town of Ulster before it closed on New Year’s Eve of 2013.
