USA, NJ: Autodidact Beer to start serving customers this weekend
The highly anticipated new brewery in Morris Plains will finally start serving customers this weekend, the Patch reported on March 21.
Autodidact Beer, located at 1745 Route 10, Suite 6, in Morris Plains, is set to open its doors starting Friday, March 24.
Founders Ronnie Scouten and Ron Cassel said the hours for their opening weekend will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The brewery will be closed on Sunday.
"These are just the hours for our opening weekend. We will be expanding them quickly," Casselsaid on the business's website.
Autodidact Beer is set to open on Route 10 East — a stretch in the vicinity of Wegmans, the new Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace and restaurants such as Tommy's Tavern + Tap and Capital Grille.
"Autodidact strives to brew the best beers we can while pushing the boundaries of what we know and love about it," Scouten and Cassel said in a joint statement. "At our core, we are passionate about exploration, nature, art, and culture. We believe that personal experiences and community bonds are what define our shared human experience. With Autodidact, we want to create beers that bring people together over the things they enjoy most."
Morris Plains Mayor Jason Karr previously told Patch that he is proud that so many businesses have chosen to call Morris Plains home, citing how their presence benefits the local economy and creates jobs.
The tap list for opening day will be released in the coming days.
