USA, FL: Sesh Brewing Company to open its doors in St. Petersburg on April 6
Sesh Brewing Company, a new brewery and restaurant in the former St. Petersburg location of the Melting Pot on Fourth Street North, is opening on April 6, according to the company’s Instagram account.
The spot at 2221 Fourth St. N has been in the works for years, first announced in April 2021. It’s owned by Matt Powers, the CEO of Mad Beach Brewing Company, a craft brewery and restaurant in John’s Pass.
According to Sesh’s Instagram page, their hours will be 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.
The Melting Pot closed in 2020, but the iconic location’s roots go back much further than that. From the 1930s to 1950s, the building was the home of the Earl Gresh Wood Parade. Gresh was an artist who sold gifts, arts and furniture.
The building is thought to be haunted and, in 2021, ghost hunters held a paranormal investigation there after Powers bought it. No malevolent spirits were detected.
But that haunted reputation is too cool not to draw from for the new restaurant’s theme: The spot’s tagline is “your new neighborhood haunt.”
