USA, WI: 1840 Brewing Co. bringing its craft beers to Milwaukee’s West Bend
Kyle Vetter, owner of 1840 Brewing Co., said when crafting beer, he goes for these five flavors: "Something light, dark, hoppy, sour and fruity."
And now, 1840 Brewing Co. will be bringing those flavorful homemade craft beers to West Bend, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on September 26.
The brewing company, which opened in Bay View in 2017, is hoping for a November opening at a location near downtown West Bend in a new mixed-used development, said Vetter.
This business already has its foot in West Bend by being the Bock beer provider for Bockfest, a new festival in West Bend planned for March 2, 2024.
Vetter said when city officials approached him about opening a location in West Bend, he embraced the idea with open arms. "We are super excited to highlight what we do. We want to be a part of West Bend," he said.
Vetter said for now, the plan is to brew and craft all beer in Bay View and transport the products to West Bend. He said, however, he is hoping to be able to craft beer in West Bend, possibly by 2024.
Vetter said that 1840 Brewing Co. will have a coffee shop, a tap room and a restaurant area. The food will be Detroit-style pizza, some breakfast items for the coffee, chicken wings, salads and sandwiches. He said that all three parts will be in one open area.
1840 Brewing Co. will be over 6,000 square feet. He said the inside will be able to seat about 300 people.
1840 Brewing Co. will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. seven days a week, said Vetter. He said that adjustments will be made once it is open.
