USA, PA: Burghers Brewing announces soft opening of its third location
After first announcing expansion plans in early 2023, Burghers Brewing has announced the soft opening of their third location, located at The Highline at 319 East Carson Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood, Breweries in PA reported on December 18.
In addition to this third location, Burghers also has plans in the works to build a new production facility and restaurant in the near future. The 700 sq/ft South Side space will be both a taproom and a restaurant, with space for 30-40 indoors, and a large biergarden outside. They will serve a limited menu with their popular smash burgers, but an emphasis will be on the beer.
“We fell in love with the beauty and potential of the Highline complex, as well as the unique possibilities of such a challenging and historical space as our new “skinny building”, as it is known. We are hopeful to create a one-of-a-kind dining and social environment on the Southside that will be close, inclusive, and fun for those seeking craft beer and burgers.” says Co-Owner and Head Brewer Neil Glausier
He continues, “This pursuit is parallel to our search for the perfect location to plant our much-needed production facility to fill our, now 3, taprooms with the highest quality beer. We are working overtime to locate our next production spot after having our dreams dashed by COVID suspending our previous deal and ultimately losing out on a great location.”
The brewery plans to have this taproom designed as an early 20th-century dining car, with some stand-up dining and drinking spots. They will have 6 taps for draft pours and lots of cans on hand since the brewery started canning last August.
As of this writing the soft opening includes “burgers and four packs only” from 11:00 to 4:00 PM from Monday through Saturday of the week of December 18th, 2023.
