USA, CA: Almanac Beer Co. to open West Oakland location

A popular East Bay brewery will soon be opening a second East Bay location, KRON4.com has confirmed. Alameda’s Almanac Beer Co. will be opening a new location in West Oakland at Prescott Market, a highly anticipated new food hall opening later this year on 18th Street.

The brewery, which maintains its flagship location brewery and taproom on the old Alameda Naval Air Station, is known for its popular Love Hazy IPA and True Kolsch, among other beers. It relocated to Alameda from San Francisco in 2018.

The massive Alameda location is host to regular events including record swaps, private parties, and annual events like “Rocktoberfest” and “Maifest.”

The new location is due to open sometime in August, KRON4.com has been told. The Almanac taproom will reportedly be the anchor business at Prescott Market, which will be located at 18th and Peralta streets. Other plans for Prescott Market include a cafe, eateries, and local favorites like Horn BBQ and Kowbird, according to the West Oakland Farmers Market website.

The brewery and the food hall will be located near Raimondi Park, the home field of the Oakland Ballers baseball team.
