USA, ID: Idawild Brewing Company to shut down for good
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Idawild Brewing Company announced its final day of service would be May 31, Boise Dev reported on May 17.
Cortni and her husband, Matt Nader, opened the brewery back in 2022. In 2023, the pair welcomed a baby, and naturally, life became busier.
She said with all the work the brewery required, and wanting to spend as much time as possible with their child, it was time to say goodbye.
“It was definitely a really great time we learned so much about ourselves and business,” Nader said “…Our hats are off to everyone who’s able to make it work running a family-owned business. It is certainly not easy. It’s all on you all the time. No, weekends, no holidays. It’s literally a 24/7 job. And that’s just not the lifestyle we want to be living right now. So we’ve found a way that we can get more of ourselves to our family life and kind of slow down a little bit.”
Idawild will have a send-off party on the last day. Nader says the plan is still being worked through but their favorite food truck, Big Beans Tacos, will be there.
“It was it was a really great community to join. A lot of the other businesses in town are super supportive of each other,” she said. “The community was super welcoming to us. We had a great group of regulars that we just absolutely adore. And that’s that’s definitely the part that we’re gonna miss the most. We met so many great people and I’m a sentimental person. So I know I’m gonna cry on that last day saying goodbye to everyone.”
