USA, VA: The Craft of Brewing to close its doors on June 8
Unfortunate news as a Loudoun County brewery announces that it will be closing its doors. The Craft of Brewing in Ashburn anticipates its last day in operation will be June 8, The Burn reported on May 19.
The Craft of Brewing is located on Ashburn Crossing Drive off Loudoun County Parkway, just north of Gloucester Parkway.
It originally opened in 2018, but the double whammy of COVID and rising rents and costs has proven to much to overcome.
“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, but just can’t make things work financially when looking at significant increases to our expenses going forward without a comparable increase in revenue,” the management team announced on social media. “Time to cut our losses.”
Besides brewing and serving a variety of beers, The Craft of Brewing also worked with local beer enthusiasts and helped them brew their own beers using the brewery’s equipment and ingredients.
As the June closing date gets closer, Craft’s website says that all beers are being offered at 50 percent off.
