USA, ID: West Boise’s Edge Brewing to close next week
A West Boise restaurant and brewery will close next week, but its brand will live on, Boise Dev reported on June 26.
Edge Brewing on Steelhead Way near Boise Towne Square will close its doors for good on Wednesday, July 3, and the property is for sale, according to a real estate listing.
A call left earlier this week with Edge management was not returned.
The brewery business was sold to Garden City-based Western Collective, which will not keep the restaurant or brewing facility. Western Collective owner Cary Prewitt tells BoiseDev all production of Edge Brewing products will be moved to their brewery in Garden City. Edge beer, cider, and cocktails will soon be available at Western Collective and Western Proper and will continue to be available at grocery stores and other bars and restaurants around the state.
“My plan is to continue running the Edge brand completely separately and expanding products as we see fit,” Prewitt said. “We are not planning on getting rid of Edge at all. We are so excited to grow the Edge brand from here and take it to the next level.”
Edge was known for its mix of pub food along with its line of beers and ciders. The venue hosted trivia nights and small concerts on an outdoor patio next to the building.
