USA, VA: Brightworks Brewery to celebrate its grand opening on July 4
Just in time for Manassas’s biggest party of the year, husband and wife team Kenny and Adrienne Lewis are formally celebrating Brightworks Brewery’s grand opening on July 4th, the Pince William Living reported on June 27.
The brewery will extend their full-time hours to Thursdays and Fridays 3 to 9 p.m., Saturdays 12 to 9 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and introduce three new beers to round out their current menu lineup: Margarita Melt Gose, People’s Champ Czech-Style Lager, Cabana Boy Pineapple Weiss, Adrienne’s Raspberry Wheat, Golden Twins Hazy IPA, 47 Falcon American Porter, and Oma’s Oatmeal Cookies Brown Ale.
Located at 9776 Center Street, Kenny and Adrienne up-fitted the former BadWolf Brewing space to include personal touches reflecting their stage of life as busy parents and active community members. The space now includes a play area, pin ball machines, and other nostalgic tokens throughout.
Kenny’s introduction to the industry began years ago via the Downright Obsessed Homebrewers club. Connections from that group have been “brewing” for years, including friendships with now important community partners like Heritage and Sinistral Brewing. As Kenny began nearing retirement from the military, the couple felt equipped to follow Kenny’s passion for a new brewery concept when 9776 Center Street became available.
When asked if Kenny and Adrienne had any advice for someone considering launching their own venture, they offered this: “If you have a passion for something and you want to start a business, JUST GO FOR IT. Obviously have your plans in place and make sure the numbers make sense, but if all that lines up – GO FOR IT. It will be hard work and there will always be something else to do, and the startup process will consume you for a while, but it’s unbelievable to see your dreams come alive.”
