USA: Butte Creek Brewing Company is to double its productin capacity
Butte Creek Brewing Company, the leading organic brewery, has recently announced it is to raise the facility's brewing capacity from 4,000 barrels (4.7 thousand hl) a year to 8,000 barrels (9.4 thousand hl) a year with the help of three new brewing tanks. The two new 80-barrel fermentation tanks and the new 80-barrel conditioning, or "brite" tank, will be put into service this month, joining Butte Creek's other tanks -- "Chico," "Groucho," "Harpo," and "Zeppo" -- at the Chico, Calif., facility, Business Wire posted on April 20.
Tom Atmore, Co-founder and General Manager of Butte Creek, said the increased brewing capacity is needed to keep up with demand for the company's growing line of organic and other hand-crafted ales.
Founded in 1995, Butte Creek Brewery is one of the pioneers of the rapidly growing organic beer industry. In addition to Butte Creek Organic Ale, Butte Creek Organic India Pale Ale and Butte Creek Organic Porter, the brewery produces eight other hand-crafted ales, which include four popular seasonal ales.
