USDA: World barley trade 2004/2005 and 2005/2006
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published on September 13 its latest forecast of world trade changes of barley in 2005/2006.
World barley trade 2005/2006: According to USDA estimations, 2005/2006 Canada barley export raised by 200,000 tons to 2.0 million based on less Black Sea competition. Turkey barley is up from zero to 100,000 tons due to recent sales. China barley is increased by 300,000 tons to 2.1 million, the highest in 5 years, due to strong growth in malting barley consumption.
