United Arab Emirates: Cargill establishes base in Dubai
Cargill has opened its first office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to better serve food manufacturing customers in the Middle East, Cargill announced on November 30. The office will focus on commercial transactions and co-ordinate sales in the region.
“This is an important step for us and will enable us to grow our business in a region where a local presence has become a key success factor. This will enable us to gain a greater understanding of customer requirements and allow us to deliver unique, high value solutions to food and beverage companies in the Middle East”, says Bram Klaeijsen, head of Cargill’s food ingredients operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Dubai is an important international business centre and the opening of this office demonstrates our commitment to a region where we see exciting growth opportunities in the food industry.”
Customers will be able to access a number of food ingredients and poultry products via Cargill representatives in the Dubai office. These food ingredients currently include fruit juice concentrates, flavourings, sweeteners and texturants.
