USDA: World barley trade changes in 2006/2007 and 2005/2006 as of July 13
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published on July 13 its latest forecast and estimation of world barley trade in 2006/2007and 2005/2006:
2006/2007 Australia barley export is lowered 500,000 tons to 4.8 million as sharply lower production is only partially offset by robust carryin stocks.
2006/2007 Russia barley export is raised 200,000 tons to 2.2 million on a larger expected crop.
2006/2007 Turkey barley export is cut 150,000 tons to only 50,000 tons, as a smaller crop largely eliminates exportable surplus.
2006/2007 Ukraine barley export is up 300,000 tons to a record 4.3 million as production is raised this month.
2006/2007 United States barley export is down 100,000 tons to 400,000 tons as a result of reduced exportable supplies.
2006/2007 United States barley import is up 100,000 tons to 400,000 as production is lowered.
2005/2006 Tunisia barley import is raised 100,000 tons to 500,000 with robust imports to date, primarily from the European Union.
