USA: Anheuser Busch allocates US$1.25 million to build new Coastal Research Center in Virginia
Anheuser-Busch ponies up US$1.25 million to build the University of Virginia’s new Anheuser-Busch Coastal Research Center (ABCRC), which will be dedicated August 26, The Hook informed August 24.
The new US$2.5 million facility is a base for the university's long-term ecological research on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Research activities at the ABCRC focus on the mosaic of transitions and steady-state systems that comprise the barrier-island/lagoon/mainland landscape of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Primary study sites are located on Hog Island, Parramore Island, mainland marshes near Nassawadox and in Oyster Virginia.
