World: World barley production up by 4 million t
The IGC estimates total grain production in the world down from 1.6 to 1.575 billion t, of which barley up by 4 million t. Due to larger consumption (ethanol), stocks at the end of the grain year are expected down by 50 million t, analyst unveiled September 01.
They found the barley crop estimates too optimistic. World markets of grains and oilseeds are firm, certainly also for feed and malting barley.
