Idaho barley prices last week ranged from steady to 25 cents higher, according to Idaho Grain Market Report of September 21, 2006 published by the Idaho Barley Commission. USDA reported weekly sales of 4.2 thousand metric tonnes, all for Taiwan. There were no export shipments reported.
According to the same source the EU Grains Management Committee rejected all bids for licenses to export freemarket barley with refunds, but approved the sale of 20.651 thousand metric tonnes of intervention barley stocks (Slovakian) for export at a min. selling price of 99.41 EUR/metric tonne.
