E-Malt.com News article: USA, WI: Brenner Brewing Company to close its doors this week-end
Brewery news

Milwaukee is in the midst of a craft brewery boom. Brenner Brewing Company was one of the first microbrewies to help get the ball rolling. Sadly, Brenner Brewing is now the first in the well-populated guild of Milwaukee breweries to close its doors, the Milwaukee Record reported on November 20.

Owner and Master Brewer Mike Brenner announced on his personal Facebook account on November 20 that he’s closing the brewery and tasting room. He says this weekend will be Brenner Brewing’s last.

From Brenner’s status:

“While I will still be brewing and selling Brenner Beer (as a gypsy brewer at other people’s breweries), I am being forced to close the brewery and tasting room after this weekend. Come down and celebrate me not ever having to scrub puke out of subway tile again (professionally at least), and try out some of the incredible sour beers we’ve bottled the past few weeks. Hours are Wed 4-10, Fri 4-11, Sa 11-11 & Su 11 until after the last Packer Potluck.”

Brenner Brewing Company opened at 706 S. 5th Street in 2014. The brewery was known for its lighthearted tours, beers with names like Butterfly Farts and Bacon Bomb, labels produced by area artists, and an affinity for local art that Brenner (a former gallery owner) instilled in the space.

Brenner says he’ll continue brewing at other people’s breweries. But if you want to pay one more visit to the brewery before it closes, it appears this weekend will be your last chance.
