E-Malt.com News article: USA, WI: Eagle Park Brewing Co. to move operations to former Like Minds Brewing facility
Brewery news

According to information released on February 5, the Bay View based brewery, Eagle Park Brewing Co., is slated to move its brewing operations into the former Like Minds Brewing Co. space at 823 E. Hamilton St. in Milwaukee. Provided the move goes as planned, the brewery will open by the end of March, OnMilwaukee.com reported.

Like Minds Brewing Co., meanwhile, is laying the groundwork to move into a new location in Bay View.

The brewery, owned by brothers Jack and Max Borgardt and Jake Schinker, was founded in 2015 and has operated its pilot brewery, where recipes are tested and vetted, and tasting room in the Lincoln Warehouse since January 2017. Meanwhile, the beer has been brewed offsite by a local contract brewer.

The acquisition of the assets at the former Like Minds location will allow Eagle Park to bring its beer production in-house, facilitating an expansion of its portfolio, which, moving forward, is expected to include barrel-aged brews. The new location will also feature an expansive tap room (five times the size of the location in Bay View) complete with a full chef-driven menu.

"We are more than just a little excited about our plans for expansion," said Max Borgardt in a statement released today. "We have been incubating our brews and business for some time now, and are ready to take the next step in expanding our brand. Having our own in-house production facility with a canning line will allow us expand the distribution of our core beers while adding new beers to our lineup."

The menu at the tap room will be executed by Chef Nathan Heck of Factotum Custom Catering. Heck, whose experience includes work at Braise restaurant as well as Phoenix Cocktail Club, is expected to a beer-friendly menu using fresh, sustainably produced ingredients.

Eagle Park's current taproom at the Lincoln Warehouse will remain open through March.
