Drumconrath Brewing Co. is ready to turn up the volume, INFORUM reported on July 10.

“We’re going to be loud and proud,” owner Sam Corr said Tuesday, July 9.

Drumconrath, which got its start in Mapleton, N.D., now occupies the former Drekker Brewing Co. brewery and taproom space in the Cityscapes Plaza building.

The larger taproom also comes with a larger brewing capacity, moving from a 7-barrel per batch system that could produce up to 1,750 barrels of beer a year, to a 10-barrel system that can roll out 2,500 barrels of beer, “if we can really get that demand going,” Corr said.

The room’s 12 taps are all pouring and the soft opening reception has been “very positive,” he said.

Drumconrath took control of the space May 15.

“It’s certainly an opportunity to grow. The space is a lot bigger. The available walk-in population is so much higher,” Corr said shortly after the handoff. “It just gives us an opportunity” to make more beer and make more experimental beers.

Corr said he didn’t have to do much work to make the former Drekker space his own. A coat of paint and some of his own decor was all that was needed.

“It’s pretty sweet, I think. I kind of got to get used to it, but I like it,” Corr said of the new space.

Hours are 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to midnight Friday and Saturdays, and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays, he said.

Drumconrath Brewing Company opened in 2016. Its “North Dakota beer with an Irish spirit” is sold in Fargo, Grand Forks, Valley City and Jamestown.
