Japan: Sapporo beer sales up for the 1st time in 10 month
Sapporo Holdings Ltd said Monday its sales of beer, low-malt beer and non-malt beer-like drinks called "third-category beer" rose about 10 percent in February from a year earlier, for the first increase in 10 months, Japan Today published March 12.
The sales increase is attributable to strong support from customers who wish to see Sapporo fend off a takeover bid from a U.S. investment fund, observers said.
