Europe: The winter in Europe has been one of the mildest ever
The winter in Europe has been one of the mildest ever. No winter kill is reported from the European Union, small damage is deemed possible in the southern part of Russia and the Ukraine, where a few days of sharp frost hit areas without snow cover, but warm soil temperatures. Planting of spring grains is retarded by continuous heavy rains and soaked fields in large parts of Europe.
