Canada: CWB barley PRO for 2006-2007 unchanged

The CWB released on March 22 its March Pool Return Outlook (PRO) for the 2006-07 crop years. Compared to the February PRO, barley PROs are unchanged versus last month.

Feed barley

Pool B - The market outlook for feed barley is unchanged compared to last month.

Designated barley

Global malting barley prices have remained steady over the past month. Spring barley planted area in Europe is forecast to be lower than last year, in turn supporting new crop values.
