Spendrups Bryggeri AB, the Sweden beer maker, has posted an operating loss of SKr28 million in the first quarter of 2003, versus a loss of SKr3m in the first quarter of 2002. The increased loss is attributed to the late Easter holiday and higher costs, said Spendrups. However, the company posted a turnover increase by 7% from SKr568m in the first quarter of 2002 to SKr612m in the first three months of 2003.
