Canada: CWB to send farmers final payment for 2006-07 crop year
The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) will send farmers a final payment of $42.435 per tonne for the feed barley they delivered to Pool A during the 2006-07 crop year, according to CWB’s news room, June 15.
Cheques will be mailed or funds directly deposited to farmers on July 4, 2007. Farmers have until June 27, 2007 to defer this payment. The Pool A feed barley pool ran from August 1, 2006 to January 31, 2007. This final payment represents the balance of the money owing to farmers after their feed barley has been marketed through the CWB, and after operating costs have been deducted.
