UK: Barley harvest progress

In the week ending August 8th, rapid harvest progress was made across the UK following a period of dry, warm and sunny weather, HGCA reported August 10. For barley, around 95% of the winter crop is seen to have been cut (99% last year) and a small amount of spring barley has also been harvested in Southern areas, with yields and quality again seen to be variable.
