India: United Breweries saw a 4.82% deal block on stock exchange

United Breweries Ltd saw a block deal of 10,424,016 shares, or 4.82 per cent of its equity, at Rs 356 per share on the BSE, according to Reuters, October 23.

The percentage is based on the equity capital of 216.04 million shares, as of end-September 2007.

Shares in the company extended gains to hit an intra-day high of Rs 380, up 9.04 per cent after the deal was struck.
