Estonia: Estonian beer Viru gets a makeover
Brewery news

Viru, the genuine Estonian beer has been revamped with a new label and case design, according to Global Brands, October 25.

The new design uses a 1920s Art Deco-period typeface that refers to the period when Estonia first gained independence in 1918. The label was created to increase readability on shelf and uses a bold, striking design.

“The new design really adds to Viru's super premium feel,” says John Harley, Beer Brands Director at Global Brands. “The Art Deco lettering fits with the heritage of the brand and the label ensures Viru has great stand out on shelf.

Viru really is a unique offering, with exceptional packaging and a superior taste. It is gaining distribution and a cult following within the UK's quality bars and stylish independent venues and, because it tastes great with food, also in restaurants and gastro pubs.”

The outer carton has also been given some TLC and now shows a picture of the bottle, along with the striking label design. The carton is designed to increase recognition within the off trade sector.

This super premium offering is unique, not only aesthetically, but also in terms of drinkability and taste, derived from using only the finest ingredients in its production.
