Ukraine: January - November 2007 barley sales down 48.5%, to 2.211 mn MT

As to State Statistics Committee, within this year Jan-Nov agricultural companies have reduced barley sales to 2.211 mn MT, down 2.085 mn MT (- 48.5%) against last year Jan-Nov, Agro Perspectiva reported December 20.

As for barley sales structure, companies have sold 4.3% total barley to processors; 2.8% barley were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries, 8.4% – to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.
As to Committee, 10.4% total barley was sold on markets, while 74.1% were sold off through other trade channels.

In last year Jan-Nov agrarians had sold 4.296 mn MT barley.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, within this year Jan-Oct agricultural companies had shortened barley sales to 2.076 mn MT, down 1.845 mn MT (- 47.1%) as of last year Jan-Oct.

As to Agro Perspective, last year Jan-Oct barley sales totaled 3.921 mn MT.
