Cyprus: Beer consumption in 2007 up 5 %

Acording to CYSTAT, in 2007 the consumption in Cyprus was of 38.5 million liters which is 5% more than in 2006, Evropa-Kipr reported January 26. Statisticians calculated that one person drunk 0.9 liters of beer per week.

Although the beer popularity in the country has risen in recent years, Cyprian beer is not very appreciated outside the country. In 2007 the beer exports were of 1.1 million liters which is 9.2% less than in 2006.
