Netherlands: Heineken facing 2.6 million euro damages claim from bankrupt events bureau
Heineken NV is facing a damages claim of 2.6 mln eur from the curator of bankrupt events bureau Van Hoorn, newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad reported, according to Thomson Financial, February 26.
The events bureau went into bankruptcy in 2003 after Heineken cancelled a music festival in Rotterdam due to the Iraq war, the FD reported.
Court documents indicate that Van Hoorn is demanding damages and a court hearing is scheduled for March 19, the newspaper added.
Heineken has confirmed the court summons, the FD reported.
