Ukraine: Government plans to increase quota for barley export and prolong its efficiency
According to the draft resolution of the Cabinet of the Ministers, published at the official internet site of the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine, the quota for barley export may be increased by 0.5 mil tonnes, Agrimarket reported February 27.
According to this document, in particular, they propose to increase the export quota for barley from 400.000 tonnes to 900.000 tonnes.
The draft resolution foresees prolongation of grain quotas efficiency from March 31 till June 30, 2008.
In addition, the draft resolution proposes to introduce some changes in the personal membership of the commission on quotas distribution as well as reduction of terms of grain export licenses granting.
