UK: Scottish & Newcastle welcomes Cerveja Sagres beer to the UK

A taste of Portugal was brought to the capital last week to celebrate Scottish & Newcastle UK introducing Cerveja Sagres to its portfolio, The Publica reported June 2.

A party was held at London club AKA / The End for 400 Scottish & Newcastle UK national and regional free trade customers.

The five per cent ABC lager commands a 50 per cent share of the beer market in Portugal and will now be available on draught and bottle throughout the UK.

It has already secured listings with Mitchells & Butlers’ All Bar One and its flagship restaurant operation Premium Country Dining Group.

Sagres will be available in 30 litre kegs and 330 ml bottles. The brand launch will be supported by a newly designed range of POS material which includes branded glassware, staff uniforms and bar runners.
