Republic of Moldova has increased the output of beer by 18% from 2 million to 2.4 million deciliters for the first half year of 2003, compared with the respective period of 2002. As INTERLIC News agency reports with reference to the “Moldova-vin” Department, the absolute leader in the beer production is the Joint Venture “Efes Vitanta Moldova Breweries”.

This enterprise produced 90% of the beer, produced in Moldova for the first half year 2003. The SC “Beermaster” from Belti city ranked second (4% of the total beer output).
