India: Carlsberg to make its Okocim Palone beer available across India
The Danish brewer Carlsberg said it would expand the market of its strong beer Okocim Palone across India, the Economic Times communicated on September, 24.
Okocim Palone, which is already sold in Northern and Western India, will be available throughout the country by the end of September, the company said.
Okocim Palone is a premium strong beer targeted toward young males and has around seven per cent alcohol content in it, it was reported.
It has been awarded the Superior Taste Award 2005 by International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi), an independent organisation that assesses and awards the best flavors in the food and drinks categories.
In India, Carlsberg operates through a global joint venture, South Asia Breweries Private Ltd, and at present has four breweries in the country.
