Colombia: SABMiller’s Colombian subsidiary launches a new brewery
SABMiller’s Colombian subsidiary Bavaria has launched a new beer plant in Valle del Cauca, in the south-western part of the country, Empresa Exterior published on October, 21.
The brewery reportedly invested about US$180 mln in its new facility, which is expected to have the production capacity of 3.5 mln hl per year and a daily capacity of 160,000 bottles.
“The inauguration of the new plant demonstrates that the company has an enormous confidence in Colombia’s future and in its potential as a nation,” Karl Lippert, SABMiller Bavaria president, said.
Mr Lippert said SABMiller has invested more than US$1,000 mln in its Colombian operations during the last three years.
