Ukraine: Beer consumption to make 75 litres per capita by 2011
Ukraine’s average beer consumption will be 63 litres per capita this year and will grow to 75 litres by 2011, Slavutich Carlsberg Group Marketing Vice-President Marianna Glotova was quoted as saying by LIGA Business Inform on November, 12.
According to Ms Glotova, in 2008 the share of the beer in the total amount of consumed alcoholic drinks will constitute 96.2%, whereas strong drinks will have just 3.6%. The company estimates that in the next year the correlation will change insignificantly: the beer sector will gain only 0.2% of the alcoholic drinks market.
