United States: Beer sales in pubs and restaurants resist economic fluctuations

Beer sales are affected the least by the economic downturn, Nielsen and Bevinco research showed recently.

Nearly half of the questioned US bar managers, bar owners and bartenders rate beer as having the “best” sales trend of the three categories of alcoholic beverages.

13% of operators reported greater sales of beer on draft rather than in bottles.
