Norway: Encouraged by growth in beer sales, retail chain Vinmonopolet to expand outlets number across the country

Norway’s alcohol retail monopoly Vinmonopolet has announced that it will continue expanding across the nation, Namnews communicated on December, 5.

The chain said its beer sales for the year-to-date have increased by 10% year-on-year. The company attributed the growth to the opening of new outlets.

It said it will open eight new outlets in six new municipalities in 2009, taking its store network total to 251 outlets.
