Russia & Norway: Baltika beer now available in Norway
Brewery news

Baltika Breweries, Russia’s leading brewer, announced on August, 10 it has launched its Baltika №7 Export beer in Norwegian bars and restaurants.

The first batch of this premium Russian beer was dispatched to Norway from the Baltika- St. Petersburg brewery at the end of July.

In Norway Baltika №7 Export is positioned in the super premium segment. An average cost of one 0.33 litre bottle is 60 Norwegian krones (more than 6,5 euro). The innovative design of Baltika №7 bottle with a convenient ring-pull top makes it stand out from the rest of beer brands on Norwegian market. Export deliveries were preceded by a range of tests showing high consumers’ estimates given to Baltika №7 Export for its taste.

Baltika №7 main sales will be concentrated in Oslo, the country’s capital. The company expects that the majority of Baltika №7 consumers will be people after 25 who are oriented at super premium goods.

Baltika №7 Export is supplied to Norwegian cafes, bars and restaurants. This is due to the local legislation that bans selling production with alcohol content more than 4.7% in shops. Alcohol content of Baltika №7 Export is 5.4%.

The official distributor of Baltika’s beer in Norway is Ringnes A/S that occupies 52% of Norwegian market and, as well as Baltika Breweries, is a part of Carlsberg Group. Ringnes A/S owns four production sites on the territory of Norway.

Baltika Breweries is the largest FMCG producer in Russia and since 1996 it has been the leader of the Russian beer market. The Baltika brand occupies first place in Europe in terms of sales (Canadean, Euromonitor). The company comprises breweries in 10 cities of Russia and 1 brewery in Azerbaijan. It also has a wide brand portfolio. Baltika Breweries is the leading exporter of Russian beer: Baltika’s products are presented in more than 50 countries and its share of Russian beer export deliveries amounts to 70%.
