United States: Anheuser-Busch to expand testing area for its new brew
Anheuser-Busch plans to expand the number of test markets for its new low-calorie brew, Select 55, next month, St. Louis Business Journal reported on September, 2.
Last month, the US division of the Belgian brewing giant AB InBev introduced the 55-calorie beer in 15 domestic markets.
According to vice president of marketing Keith Levy, early results have prompted the company to expand into 12 more markets starting in October.
The company wants to do more testing before deciding whether to launch it nationwide, Levy said.
Additional markets include parts of Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas and Ohio, it is reported.
Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, has its North American headquarters in St. Louis.
