United Kingdom: Diageo reportedly trying new mid-strength version of Guinness
Giant drinks maker Diageo plc has quietly begun trials in Scotland of a new form of Guinness, The Guardian posted on September, 17.
The new Guinness is called 'mid-strength', it is reported. “The new beer is part of our dedication to delivering products which provide consumers with choice without sacrificing taste or quality," a Diageo representative said.
The company said it will run the trials for a few months and then roll out across the country if it succeeds.
