Interbrew has signed on 12 October 2001 a strategic partnership agreement with Union Breweries, the second largest brewer in Slovenia. Following the agreement, Interbrew is taking a significant minority participation of over 20% in Union Breweries and will provide its partner with enhanced development opportunities in the south east European region.
