Latvia: Night beer advertising on radio and TV remains legal

Saeima, the Latvian parliament, has rejected a proposal to ban the advertising of beer and wine on radio and TV at night, DELFI posted on April, 15.

The parliament's committee on human rights and public affairs had proposed that beer and wine commercials be banned on radio and TV from 10 pm until 7 am.

The Saeima thus approved an earlier amendment that bans alcohol commercials, excluding beer and wine, on radio and TV from 10 am until 10 pm.
