EU: Intervention stocks may be released at the right moment – EU Agriculture Commissioner
Brussels may offer its grain intervention stocks on the free market, Dacian Ciolos, EU Agriculture Commissioner, was quoted as saying by La Depeche on September, 14.
According to Mr. Ciolos, about 3 mln tonnes of grain are “really available for regulating the market”.
Admitting that that was a small volume, Mr. Ciolos stressed that the intervention stocks would be released “at the right moment in order to avoid results contrary to the expected ones”.
