The Czech Republic: Pivovary Staropramen to raise cask beer prices next month

Pivovary Staropramen, the second-largest Czech brewer, has announced an average 4.5% increase in its cask beer prices from November.

The prices of beer in glass and PET bottles will not change, the company said, attributing the hike to a rise in energy, packaging and barley prices.

Last year, Pivovary Staropramen’s beer sales decreased by 0.1% to CZK4.04 bln.
