EU: More than 500 thousand tonnes of barley sold from intervention stores this week
The EU has released 554,227 tonnes of barley from community intervention stores this week, in the European Commission's third cereals tender since autumn, AgraNet.com reported on January, 14.
The quantities sold out of EU stores have been gradually rising: the first tender in November saw 185,000 tonnes snapped up, followed by 427,251 tonnes in the second December tender, before rising above 500,000 tonnes in this week's sales, it is reported.
