Canada: CWB asks the government for another increase in 2010-11 initial payments for grains
The Canadian Wheat Board is asking the federal government for another increase in 2010-2011 initial payments, Saskatoonhomepage.ca communicated on February, 14.
The recommendations range from C$33 to C$75 per metric tonne for the base grades of wheat, durum, feed barley and malting barley.
The Board requests adjustment payments in response to higher world grain prices.
It usually takes the federal government six to eight weeks to approve an initial payment increase.
